KCC to Hold Public Hearing Thursday in LaCrosse
Public comments accepted regarding ITC transmission line

LaCrosse, KS- The Kansas Corporation Commission (KCC) will hold a public hearing regarding ITC Great Plains application to build a new 345 kilovolt high-capacity transmission line from Spearville to Hays.

The public hearing has been scheduled for Thursday, May 14, 2009 at 7:00 p.m.

The public hearing will take place in two parts. First, a question and answer period will allow customers to ask questions of ITC representatives, KCC staff, and the Citizens' Utility Ratepayer Board (CURB) pertaining to the project. In the second part of the hearing, customers will be allowed to make formal statements to the three-member commission. In addition, the KCC will accept written comments through June 5, 2009. Comments regarding the case should reference Docket No. 09-ITCE-729-MIS and should be sent to:
